You get a good perspective of the elevated structure that’s the foundation of the High Line, a linear park on the west side of Manhattan. Transforming a previously unused eyesore into a unique destination, it’s the epitome of creative reuse.
The High Line is more than just flora. In addition to stylized architecture and designer benches, we have pop art, as you can see here. This comic-styled Statue of Liberty garnered snaps from the ubiquitous smartphone cameras, not to mention photo enthusiasts like me.
The industrial roots of this area abound, infilled with stylish and modern development. In the distance, we see the futuristic towers of Hudson Yards.
