Towers and Obelisk – New York, New York

The Met Life Tower returns after I featured it two days ago, joined by a couple of other buildings. I was intrigued by the set of tall and skinny towers on the other side of Madison Square Park when I discovered 4th tower of sorts. This obelisk marks the grave of General William Jenkins Worth.

The Texas city of Fort Worth is named after the same general who fought in the Mexican-American War, the War of 1812, and the Second Seminole War.

A fascinating alignment of obelisks in Manhattan exists, and the Worth Memorial is at the midpoint. This short YouTube video describes the history of the obelisks and their connections to the Freemasons.
