Beyond La Guardia Airport’s modernized and more spacious interior, the retail experience has vastly improved. An ample food court offered many choices with national and local chains.
A colorful LED-lit fountain with water effects added a Singaporean touch to the middle of the dining area. Admittedly, it doesn’t match Singapore’s Changi Airport, but it does resemble the fancy touches I saw in the modern island’s malls.
The cosmetics and typical duty-free-like stores bombard you as you pass through security. Though, because this is a domestic-only airport, there are no actual duty-free stores. Perhaps the extended retail presence may be to generate additional income for the facility.

At first glance, I thought that top image was of a teleportation vortex for people really in a hurry.
I wish we had that. The Star Trek tech is still a couple of hundred years away.
