With my new-found favorite lens, the Fujifilm 16mm f2.8, I take it everywhere. Paired with the Fuji X-S10, the lens and camera are EDC (EveryDay Carry) small. It fits easily in a Think Tank Mirrorless Mover 10.
I was out at The Domain shopping center with my wife and walked into a Neiman Marcus for some reason. Luckily, my wife didn’t buy anything at this upscale and expensive store — though I figured it was an opportunity for observational photography. The 16mm is 24mm in a full-frame equivalent and comparable to an iPhone 14 Pro’s field of view. So I’m using this Fuji setup like a regular person uses a smartphone camera.
I noticed this designer and dress on the second floor. I’m not a fashion expert by any means, but I recognized Kobi Halperin since he’s the designer I saw in Manhattan last year. The one where I crashed a professional model shoot. Seeing his design at a department store in Austin brought the store full circle.
