I switched to my main camera and lens, the Sony A7C II and Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II. That is what I used for the rest of the session. We did a quick shoot on the marble stairs at the Casa before venturing out.
As I mentioned a few posts ago, I did some scouting early in the morning, and we headed to the doorway with the 558. I was looking forward to making environmental portraits, preferably with highly textured architecture as a backdrop. I thought the contrast between a lovely model and a grungy background would add some interest.
I shot all four of these photos at the same location, starting wide at 24mm, then 40mm, and ending with the last two at 70mm. All were shot wide open at f/2.8 to soften the background. These are just 4 of 200 or so pictures I currently have saved. I already eliminated the less desirable shots. Kamy is a professional model, and given the fast Sony, it took less than 15 minutes to capture portraits from multiple angles and different focal lengths.
