Early voting was available last week but I opted to vote today, on Election Day. Call me a traditionalist, but I like the excitement of actually casting my vote on the official day. Of course, if I had to wait for hours, I would reconsider, but as I suspected, the lines were short in this neighborhood polling place. I purposely picked an out-of-the-way spot and didn’t have to wait at all.
It’s been an incredibly contentious election cycle and I’m glad it’s coming to an end. Beyond the national politics, there always the local races that may, arguably, have a greater impact on daily life.
