I didn’t have a spiffy photo of a turkey to post for this Thanksgiving Day. Instead, I opted for a colorful harvest scene, courtesy of the local HEB supermarket. I snapped it yesterday as my wife and I went shopping to prepare for today’s big meal. As usual with my Daily Life posts, I used my compact Ricoh GR point and shoot. I’m sure the folks at HEB thought it strange that I was taking pictures of vegetables.
For more than ten years, the same families have gotten together to celebrate the day. We have turkey and the trimmings along with a potluck of assorted foods from around the world. It’s a low stress and enjoyable way to celebrate the day. No long trips or family drama.
There is a lot to give thanks for in my life. I also wanted to give thanks to you, my readers who are kind enough to visit. Thank you for spending the time to look at my creative handiwork, both my photographs as well as stories. In this crazy, busy and noisy world, it means a lot to me, that you include me as a part of your day.
