This photo, more than the others in this series so far, shows the working nature of the fruit market in Mysore. It’s an active market but nothing crazy like the KR Market in Bangalore, which I visited on the first day. I believe I made better pictures, in Mysore, for a few reasons. Not having the crushing crowds certainly helps. However, just being in India for a week got me acclimated to the surroundings. I felt more at home, so to speak, to frame better compositions.
I suppose this photo qualifies as one of those timeless images that I like so much. There’s nothing in the frame that gives away it’s age.
There are bits of detail that I really like. A couple of men in turbans. The telephone poles forming a leading line to a distant domed building. The vendor action in the periphery and finally the well-organized cart of potatoes in the center. There’s a lot of juicy details without being overwhelming.
