I’m using my Canon G7X Mark II again for the last of this black and white mini-series. This is a restaurant near the Hawker Center that I’ve featured for the last two days. Tomorrow, I’ll be back with colorful urban landscapes.
Honestly, I didn’t know which restaurant this was until I did some investigation via the Internet. Using Google Maps and my approximate location, from memory, I was able to determine that this is a place called Supply and Demand — an Italian Trattoria. I didn’t eat there. I was merely doing a photographic flyby.
As much as I like crisp high fidelity images, I’ve really come to love these moody black and whites. Night shots with a glow which evoke a feeling more than anything else. It’s something that I started making with the Olympus PEN-F. Though now, with my improved post-processing skills, I can get this look with other cameras.
