Continuing with A Changing Austin project, here’s the view north-west from the corner of Congress Avenue and Third Street back in mid-March. We see two towers under construction.
The closer tower is 405 Colorado, located at 4th and Colorado Streets. The striking 25 story office building will have two distinct outer materials. The bottom half will be wrapped with terra-cotta tiling. While the top half will be glass. The 14th floor will feature a large Sky Lounge.
The second building under construction is the Indeed Tower, which I talked about yesterday. At 554 feet, the Indeed Tower will overshadow the proposed 363 feet 405 Colorado.
Two extra details of note. Notice the large pickup truck, which is marketed as the national vehicle of Texas. I shifted the composition to the right to include a bird silhouette in the top right.
I’ll be curious to document the dramatic changes once these two projects are completed.
