I’m still on Congress Avenue today, just south of where I was yesterday. I’m in city documentation mode again, and obviously switching to monochrome as I have for my other A Changing Austin photos.
This is the view looking south, and the tall and slender Austonian — a luxury condominium and currently Austin’s 2nd tallest tower — dominates. You may recognize the building from several days ago. Though this look from Congress is more typical than the view from the alleyway.
The tower under construction is 405 Colorado, which I talked about a week ago. With so many buildings under construction, I’m finding it challenging to identifying them, especially in their skeletal state. I actually made today’s photo in February about three weeks before the picture I posted previously.
With some four months since my last visit, I need to get down there to see and photograph the construction progress.
