For my final portrait in this mini-series, we have Dillion and Jennifer. This is not from the same event that I featured for the last two days, although Jennifer was a model in both. I attended this active lifestyle themed shoot, a month after the previous Precision Camera model shoot.
It was March 7th, SXSW’20 was a week away (which was eventually canceled), and while the pandemic was growing in concern, its seriousness still hadn’t hit Austin. I attended a Fujifilm X-T4 preview experience, which turned out to be my last organized photography event since the lockdown started.
I used my Fujifilm GFX 50R, though with the wider 50mm f3.5 lens, which worked better for this couple. And, while the models were there for testing the X-T4, I didn’t find it inappropriate to use my beefier medium format Fuji instead. And, yes, I did play with the X-T4, which seemed like a fine camera. Though I noticed that the in-camera image stabilization was not quite as stellar as Olympus.
