We are back to the big city again, after a short trip to Georgetown, Texas. I’m doing a mini-series on the Lamar Blvd Bridge, which I recently talked about. It’s not a particularly large bridge, but it connects north and south Austin spanning Lady Bird Lake.
Careful observers might notice that this is not a pure black and white photo. I did a selective color effect, highlighting the Zach Theater. Their logo cried out for the color treatment, while I liked the overall look and mood of monochrome.
Whenever I think of the Zach, I think of my friend, professional photographer, and blogger, Kirk Tuck. He’s been doing work for Zach Theater for many years and often features their colorful performances on his blog. He recently finished an ambitious virtual fundraising campaign for them, and created this intro video. There’s music, dancing, and in the background, Austin skyscrapers that you might recognize from my posts.
