I assumed this was from 6th Street — but wasn’t sure. Leaving the Ibble event, I trekked north toward my car, passing through East 6th Street until I hit Congress Avenue. I only have a few photos from this area. None were my usual architectural bar pictures.
Some sleuthing via Google revealed the answer. The window messaging is from the Gnar Bar located on 6th Street between San Jacinto Blvd and Brazos Street. Between the search engines cataloging everything and the billions of photographs. You can probably track down any public area. Quite amazing (and scary), really.
Each of the 6th Street bars has a unique look and angle to entice customers. Researching their homepage, the Gnar Bar appears to market to the bad boy (or girl) aesthetic. I suppose this messaging fits right in. The neon-like glow first attracted me. However, the irreverent message made me laugh.
