Yesterday, I featured Little Island, a park built on an artificial island over the Hudson River. It’s an engineering and bucolic marvel in a mere 2.3 acres, rising as you head west towards the back. We are at the highest point overlooking a commanding view south towards the financial district.
I took my own sweeping urban landscape photo, which I showed in yesterday’s post. However, the location was also perfect for street photography. I switched from the Fuji GFX 50S II to the more friendly and less imposing Fuji X100V. This image is one of my favorite street photographs from my New York City trip.
The couple is engaged in a selfie with their million-dollar smiles. My only puzzlement is that they are facing west towards a modest view. I suspect the money shot would’ve been facing south toward Wall Street. But what do I know? Maybe they’re from New Jersey.
