I suppose this post is a bookend of sorts to the DFW post I did a couple of days ago. Like that post, today’s post also has pictures from the airport transportation system, this time from SFO, San Francisco’s International Airport. Called AirTrain, it not only goes around to the terminals, but also connects to the parking lots, the rent-a-car center, and to BART system, which you can take all the way to San Francisco.
The AirTrain system gets kudos for connecting to BART which allows for public transportation to downtown. However, DFW’s Skytrain better integrates to the airport terminals and is faster to get around.
Like I mentioned two days ago, an airport can be an excellent place for street photography or a way to document the usual modern architecture that permeates most airports. Even if you are busy working, and traveling for business, a small camera can be invaluable.

I enjoy shots of infrastructure. Airports seem to have terrific lighting, especially for black and white.
Thank you, Photo A Day. Airport architecture photography can be satisfying and black and white works surprisingly well.
