There are two kinds of Apple Stores. Ones that are ultra-modern like the iconic cube on 5th Avenue and most of the mall stores. Apple also uses historic structures to house other types, like this store in the Grand Central Station.
I’ve heard about this Apple Store and wanted to take a look after I photographed the historic station — my first visit. I also purposely visited the cube on 5th Avenue, though I’ve been there before. By accident, I also discovered two other Apple Stores during my few days of exploring Manhattan. The one on 14th Street and the store in the Oculus Center.
While the structure or interior of the Apple Stores can vary greatly, the product mix and how they are displayed seem similar. For example, at Grand Central, you can see the iPhone and Macintoshes layout on the minimalist wood tables. I don’t prefer the modern or historical ones, but both are visual treats.
