One of the fun things about Eeyore’s Birthday Party is the unexpected. Who would have thought, that in the center of Texas, more than 150 miles from any ocean, we would find a mermaid? This gentleman is obviously saving her from the hot and dry conditions.
Shot with my usual Olympus PEN-F and Panasonic Leica 25mm f1.4 lens, it’s my current choice for street photography. A majority of my street photos with this camera are RAWs converted to black and white.
Recently, I’ve also been experimenting with my color RAW processing, changing my settings based on the scene and the mood I want to evoke. I have to admit, that previously, most of my color was processed quickly with the same set of standard adjustments. This may work well for certain cameras, but not others. I’m trying to up my color processing game.
This picture is rather odd in that there is a lot of pinkish skin tones. Best that I can tell, however, they are true to life and not some kind of unusual color temperature issue.

Pretty sure I know who that mermaid is!
That’s amazing.
