From this vantage point on the First Street Bridge, another tower is going up on the west side. This is the last skyscraper being built around the Butterfly Bridge as there are no more open sites in this area. This post from October shows the first several floors rising behind the bridge.
The tower was fully leased by Google, and renderings show a unique sail-like triangular design. You can already see its sloping side. I’m looking forward to how this structure will fit into the skyline.
Like I’ve been doing in this series, I shot this with an adapted 28mm equivalent lens. Though ironically, I cropped it, making it closer to the native 40mm equivalent Fuji lens. The actual calculation revealed a 34mm focal length. But, the wide-angle gives me options since I can always crop in. While it will be difficult to go the other way. With 51MP, cropping in isn’t usually much of an issue. I was left with a 33MP image.
